A very common problem that is due to poor postural habits, strains, and also muscle tension. It is also very common in pregnant woman due to the stretching of ligaments around uterus.

Essential oils can bring a great relief from the various minor troubles wich acompany you during pregnancy. From morning sickness to backache and everything in between. Since today I will be covering backache only, and backache you do feel as your baby grows.
What you can do to help?
1. Watch you posture: seating and standing with the right posture will minimize backache.
2. Use massage body oil and ask a friend or your partner to give you a very gentle back massage.
Essential oils for that are lavender and chamomile roman (only after first trimester – 4th month and on). Dillution – no more than 6 drops total in 1oz of carrier oil! If you have a history of misscariage do not use it, or you can wait till 6th month of pregnancy. You can also use mandarin and neroli ( the same concentration), or geranium and frankincense ( the same concentration).
Back Pain In General:
More people consult aromatherapist for backpain than for any other reason, and they have a good reason behind it, why, cause it works! Aromatherapy treatment is very effective if the pain is due to muscle, spasm or just tension, from bad posture.
Top essential oils for relieving general back pain are:
