Feet are the most neglected part of the body, especially when we are talking about beauty treatments. Did you know that there are more than 70,000 nerve endings there – which is why foot massage is the best alternative to whole body massage, including reflexology.
If we do something simple on weekly basis, such as scrubbing, foot soak and massaging them with aromatherapy oils, the results are more rewarding than you might think.
Feet are our direct link to the earth and it is through our feet that we abel to discharge and ground the static that builds up within us.
Hard skin builds up at the bottom of our feet and it can cause pain later on and great discomfort. The best way to tackle it is to use scrub at the first sign of the build up and continue so until it has been taken care off. Nothing works better than sea salt scrub and pumice stone.
In aromatherapy feet is a very important area, because of the reflex points in them (so are our hands), which can have a direct effect on every area and organ in our body. Soles of the feet is the most permeable part of our body and keeping it healthy is of great importance.
Feet serve as a great and easy pathway for essential oils to enter the body and the best way of doing it is FOOT SOAKS with the essential oil or aromatherapy bath salts.
For balancing and promoting energy flow, what do we do? Massaging the feet! This is particularly helpful for people who live too much in the head, this can be a very grounding experience for them, and so is walking barefoot J
